Life has been moving at a somewhat more rapid pace recently. I've been getting a new property up to snuff for the season and there always seems to be a new task to get done. Everything takes a couple of different moving pieces to all coordinate at the same time and then something will change the next 6 steps. But what the hell, it isn't brain surgery.
The real issue is the lack of surf. Ugh, it is easier to get through the little things when I have the taste of saltwater, pretty amazing to find a passion that exemplifies all the aspects I really never knew I possessed. I had the chance to watch a professional surf the other day at my local break and it was cool how effortless it looked for her. In my mind the pop up feels like climbing a ladder, a multistep process. Pro's have a bit more grace but I'd like to see how good they'd be if they started at 40. Really though, amazing to watch. My buddies and I all had a good time in the water, saw the most amazing sunset and then met the family for an overpriced but free dinner. Not too shabby for a Wednesday.
