How many times has this happened to you? I went downstairs because I thought I heard Astrid scurrying around but to my dismay it was k-ten with a good sized chicken caught by the neck. Fortunately I had the boxes from Mega shopping so I shooed the killer away and threw the box on top of the chicken. Scooping a handy cutting board under the box, I lifted chicken/box/cutting board and ran to the 2nd story whereupon I threw the chicken off to freedom of the abandoned lot next door.
K-ten is looking daggers at me, I shall not be praised in the cat world today.

Had to read it twice, but I think I get it. Welcome humiliation as evidence of tackling the ego. I can see that. I like it.
But check out the ego as I attempt to be recognized for understanding this post. Better read it again...
I told Astrid we don't ever have to be scared as we have cats to protect us at night, and puppies during the day. She bought it I think. No more narco- traffico- pollo bad dreams...
